Calls from the IRS

Has anyone else gotten an unsolicited call from the IRS? I was surprised to hear from them. Normally, I am calling them ... or at least trying to get a real person on the line to solve a problem.

They wanted to know what I though about the 1120 Form (corporate tax filing). Of course, they have heard lots about the 990 Form they rolled out for 2008. That has been a disaster to say the least. I work with it for many of our nonprofit clients and it is lengthy and redundant. Not something the public wants to read and it is published to the public. What were they thinking?

Anyway, I told the IRS that the 1120 form was ok the way it was. Very straight forward and captures all the information one needs to report corporate earnings and equity picture.

I guess I am preparing TOO MANY tax returns ... otherwise I wouldn't be on THEIR LIST!
