Calls from the IRS

Has anyone else gotten an unsolicited call from the IRS? I was surprised to hear from them. Normally, I am calling them ... or at least trying to get a real person on the line to solve a problem.They wanted to know what I though about the 1120 Form (corporate tax filing). Of course, they have heard lots about the 990 Form they rolled out for 2008. That has been a disaster to say the least. Businesses of any size and structure. We have an expertise in nonprofit accounting and tax preparation, but work with profit companies too. We job share or provide comprehensive services: payroll, paying vendor bills, preparing client invoices, financial statement preparations, budget preparations, and tax preparations. We encourage clients to go web-based to avoid the software and backup responsibilities that bog down their business. We are very computer literate too. I cannot tell a lie, my undergraduate is in Math, so yes, I believe in using technology to streamline the accounting process.

We have a good referral base from our satisfied clients, but do like other professionals to be out there touting our horn.
